Aerospace Defence Deal Secures Helicopter Support
Rolls Royce has successfully secured a 10 year aerospace defence contract worth £258m with the Ministry of Defence to provide engine support services. The news comes as a welcome announcement in what has been an extremely tough climate for many companies in the aerospace industry and one that can now provide some assurances for job stability for the foreseeable future at Rolls Royce Defence Aerospace.
The contract will ensure Rolls Royce can provide engine support and a twenty four hour delivery service for parts to the Royal Airforce and Royal Navy helicopter divisions.
Management at both Rolls Royce and the Ministry of Defence has expressed their delight at the announcement which will provide financial stability for Rolls Royce and what many view as the finest parts and services deal for the MOD’s Sea King fleet.
Martin Fausset who is the Managing Director at Rolls Royce Defence Aerospace has expressed thanks to his work force who worked really hard in developing innovative techniques that have helped secure this lucrative deal and which also guarantees the front line air service will receive the very best products and support services for its fleet of nearly 100 Sea Kings.
