MP35N（AMS5844）适用于恶劣环境，在AMS5678等不锈钢材料可能出现问题的环境中，MP35N也能表现出极佳的耐腐性能。 只要将此冷拔材料放置在538˚C – 649˚C 温度下，进行4 – 4 ½ 小时的时效处理，就可以将其机械性能（最少）调整至1793 MPa（260KSI）。 即与AMS5678的水平相近，但同时拥有更出色的耐腐性能。

MP35N可用于-200˚C 至最高350˚C的环境（视乎应用而定）。
