ASTM E1417 Dye Penetrant Flaw Detection
Having problems with spring failures? Nearly all of the parts we produce are safety critical and many require dye penetrant flaw detection to ensure that no cracks or defects are present. To support this G&O Springs are NADCAP approved for non destructive testing to ASTM E1417 as well as various other customer & international specifications such as MIL-STD-1907 Grade A.
ASTM E1417 is an internationally recognised dye penetrant flaw detection process and ensures that any surface defects or cracks in the material are detected long before reaching you the customer. We operate various levels of sensitivity depending on your requirements.
