G & O Phynox/Elgiloy Springs
Phynox/Elgiloy is commonly used in sub sea applications and if correctly specified complies with NACE MR 0175
Phynox (or Elgiloy) as it is sometimes known can be used In a variety of different conditions. AMS5833 & AMS5834 are both solution heat treated & cold drawn, AMS5834 is also aged. After Ageing the material must exhibit a minimum hardness of 46 HRC and so these specifications are not ideally suited to NACE MR 0175 which limits this material to a maximum of 60 HRC.
However it can also be procured to UNS R30003 which is the grade specified in ISO 15156 Part 3 (NACE MR 0175).
All of the springs we produce are fully traceable and come as standard with a certificate of conformity to EN10204 section 3.1 or 3.2 whichever is preferred.
